GETTING READY TIPS

The little things that help your wedding morning feel relaxed, organized & beautiful

Your wedding morning is the beginning of your story, and some of my favorite photographs happen before the ceremony even starts. The happy nerves, the finishing touches, the laughter with your favorite people. A little preparation can make all the difference in giving us space to capture those moments naturally.

If possible, get ready in a room with large windows and enough space for everyone to move around comfortably. Natural light makes a beautiful difference in your photographs, especially during hair, makeup, and those final getting-dressed moments.

CHOOSE A SPACE WITH NATURAL LIGHT

Wedding mornings can get a little chaotic, and that's completely normal! Having one clutter-free corner near a window gives us a lovely spot for portraits and detail photographs without needing to rearrange the entire room.

KEEP ONE AREA TIDY

Set aside your rings, invitation suite, jewelry, perfume, shoes, and any sentimental items you'd love photographed. Keeping everything in one place means I can get started on your detail photos without interrupting your morning

HAVE YOUR DETAILS GATHERED TOGETHER

Try to have hair and makeup finished with enough time left for getting dressed, a few portraits, and any special moments you've planned before the ceremony. A little breathing room goes a long way!

PLAN TO BE DRESSED A LITTLE EARLY

Once the morning begins, you don't need to worry about making every moment picture-perfect. Enjoy your people, soak it all in, and let me capture the day as it unfolds.

BE PRESENT!!!

If you have matching pajamas, robes, or a special getting-ready outfit, plan to wear them before changing into your wedding attire. They're a sweet way to document the morning, but they're never a requirement!
